 | Description: | Speck, the Psychedelic Rock trio from the Vienna area with their new album. Speck play an epochal, groovy sound, really fat basslines, plus a wildly driving drum kit, a crazy guitar playing that constantly oscillates between experimental frenzy and rhythmically nuanced fine drawings. The whole thing combines to form a mixture, a kaleidoscope of innovation and a pinch of nostalgia. In a unique interplay, Speck combines the repetitive, driving character of Krautrock and the boundless psychedelic sound spectacles of Space Rock - and goes one step further: with a lot of energy, dynamics and unexpected twists. The special thing about this work is its incredible freshness. The band's sound is now more mature, more sophisticated, richer. You can hear the swinging of the skins, feel the motor skills of the bass, anticipate the step on the wah pedal and the energy that is bundled and released. The many layers of the guitar open like a fan. While the bass envelops the room in unobtrusive analogue warmth as before, it is above all the drums that make the quantum leap in sound clear. In addition to the usual punch, there is now also a certain feeling of being very close to the band in the rehearsal room and listening to them in full attention. With their glorious repetitions and a 3D backdrop, Speck create a cosmic tapestry of sound that is wonderful to romp around. From the musical sophistication, who prefers to listen to Jazz and Psychedelic records of the seventies, to the Hardcore fan with a preference for fast drums and hard riffs, everyone gets their money's worth here. - | | Manufacturer No.: |
