| | Description: | The ninth studio album â??The Security of Illusionâ?? was originally released 1993 and marks the return of Jim Gilmour (keyboards) and Steve Negus (drums), who both had left the band in 1986. This new reunion defi nitely sparked new creativity into the band. While still sticking to their guns, the album features a slightly more progressive, slightly harder sound that awakens vivid memories of their early 80â??s period. Fans praise â??The Security of Illusionâ? as a truly appropriate comeback of the original lineup.
With â??Mind Over Matterâ?? or â??Stand Upâ??, the album features the Canadianâ??s rocky side but doesnâ??t neglect a soft touch with the tender ballad â??Alone Again Tonightâ?? or â??Voila!â??, which is a nice classically influenced instrumental.
For this re-release, the album was completely remastered (2015). The track listing is completed by two additional live bonus tracks, newly recorded in Hamburg during their European Tour 2015. - .. ILLUSIONThis is a new release of the remastered 2015 version, with a different label, barcode and comes with a jewel case.
