â? Change Of The Century ist ein Album des Jazz-Saxophonisten Ornette Coleman, der als Erfinder des Free Jazz gilt. Change Of The Century wurde im Mai 1960 bei Atlantic Records veröffentlicht. Es verkaufte sich sehr bald nach seiner Veröffentlichung sehr gut. Die Aufnahmesitzungen für das Album fanden am 8. und 9. Oktober 1959 in New York City statt. Das Album besteht aus sieben Kompositionen, die alle von Coleman selbst stammen. Wir hören Coleman am Altsaxophon, Don Cherry an der Trompete, Charlie Haden am Bass und Billy Higgins am Schlagzeug. Change Of The Century wurde Anfang Oktober 1959 aufgenommen und von Atlantic Records veröffentlicht. Einige Lieder könnten als Free Jazz klassifiziert werden, aber es gibt auch Kompositionen, die die man leicht als Hard Bop bezeichnen könnte.
