The album was produced by Green Day and Butch Walker, and features guest appearances from Jason White and Kevin Bivona. It was recorded at Jingletown Recording Studios in Oakland, California.

An die vermutlich 3 besten Green Day-Alben "Dookie", "American Idiot" & "21st Century Breakdown" wird die Band wohl nicht mehr wieder herankommen, aber "Saviors" ist abwechslungsreich mit einigen heimlichen Hits und m.E. deutlich besser als manch ein Kritiker darüber geurteilt hat.
