Hans LÃ¼demann's French-German TransEuropeExpress Ensemble set out in 2019 to explore Europe's border regions through the "On The Edges" project. Following the album focusing on North Africa with Majid Bekkas, the next part of the series travels to Italy with guest stars Rita Marcotulli, the "grand dame" of Italian jazz and Luciano Biondini, one of the most virtuosic accordionists today. On The Edges 3 by Hans Ludemann Transeuropeexpress Ensemble & Rita Marcotulli & Luciano Biondini, released 26 January 2024, includes the following tracks: "Indaco", "Collisione Mondiale", "Frammenti (On the Edges 3, Part 1)", "Schnell" and more.
