Nach dem Erfolg ihrer Zusammenarbeit mit Peter Hammill auf "In Amazonia" (2019) und "In Disequilibrium" (2021) kehren die schwedischen Isildurs Bane mit einem neuen Album "The Pearl of Ever Changing Shell" zurÃ¼ck. Dieses Mal wird die schwedische Band von SÃ¤nger Jinian Wilde unterstÃ¼tzt, der vor allem durch seine Arbeit in der David Cross Band bekannt ist. Das Ergebnis ist ein weiterer Richtungswechsel, der dem Ethos, das IB inspiriert und beseelt, treu bleibt. Mats Johansson, der 1977 zu IB stieÃ?, ist nicht nur das dienstÃ¤lteste Mitglied, sondern auch der Hauptkomponist und Keyboarder: "Unsere Arbeit mit Jinian ist Ã¤hnlich wie die mit Peter Hammill und Steve Hogarth von Marillion, die mit uns an der 2017er VerÃ¶ffentlichung Colours Not Found In Nature gearbeitet haben. Im Prinzip wurde die Musik etwa ein Jahr lang entwickelt, bevor wir Kontakt mit Jinian aufnahmen. Der Grund dafÃ¼r war, dass wir versuchen wollten, IBs Ausdruck im Wesentlichen beizubehalten, aber dass Jinian freie Hand haben sollte, wenn es um Gesangsmelodien, Gesangsharmonien und natÃ¼rlich um die Texte geht.
