"Time for Tyner" is generally considered to be one of the finest efforts of the pianist/arranger. This album contains three Tyner-originals and three standards. Next to Tyner it is vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson who steals the show. The recording quality of this album sounds in my ears less convincing than other blue note recordings of the era.
