 | Description: | Between enchanting tenderness and brutality, amongst the fires of the underneath and the coldest fumes of the North, this is the being called WINTERHORDE. Emerged in Northern Israel back in 2002, the Progressive Extreme Metal group has been evolving, seeking to become something greater with each chord they play and record. Only the skies are the limit. Whether through the ancient arts of blackened Metal through the gems of progression, WINTERHORDE are on their way to be the next thing in articulate extremity.
WINTERHORDE had the esteem pleasure, and privilege, to share stages in a variety of European festivals such as ""Metal Days"", ""Rockstadt Extreme Fest"", ""OST Mountain Fest"", ""Metalhead Meeting"", ""Maximum Rock"" and ""Metal yard"" with some of the greatest bands in Metal such as JUDAS PRIEST, BEHEMOTH, ACCEPT, W.A.S.P, DIMMU BORGIR, KEEP OF KALESSIN, AMORPHIS, SATYRICON and moreâ?¦
Slowing paving their path within the progressive mannerism of Extreme Metal, WINTERHORDE unleashed their debut, ""Nebula"" (2006, Burning Star Records), which was followed by full European tour with finnish black metallers CATAMENIA. The second album ""Underwatermoon"" (2010, Twilight Vertrieb) was recorded and produced by V.Santura (DARK FORTRESS, OBSCURA, PARADOX, TRYPTIKON. By early 2016, WINTERHORDE completed one of their adventurous and highly mysterious epos, ""Maestro"" (Vicisolum Productions) was produced again by V.Santura and mastered by Jens Bogren. Both critics and fans welcomed the third studio album ""Maestro"" greatly, which saw the light in May 2016.
Six years later, and WINTERHORDE are ready again for their next challenge. Filled with energy and a new staggering lineup, WINTERHORDE have accomplished working on their new, fourth studio album ""Neptunian"".
On June 2022, prior to recordings of the full new album, the band decided, for a first time, to release an off-album digital single, ""The Greatest Plague of Earth"".
Metal Temple zine:
""This is an expression of extreme passion, through a whirlwind, and a strong character. Winterhorde is back different, but preserving their miraculous nature""
Winterhorde's bassist and founder, Alexander Latman, comments on ""The Spirit Of Freedom""
""This song deals with the unbreakable spirit of simple people, who are ready to die for keeping their land free. We wanted to show this spirit, not only in the warrior himself but also in his family members who are filled with pride of their fallen loved one. The simple people are those who sacrifice their lives for unnecessary wars waged by rich people's games. They die, but never give up their freedom and identity. The conflict of life versus freedom at any cost"".
feat. artists on album: Kobi Farhi of Orphaned Land and Davidavi Dolev of Subterranean Masquerade
