Der Name der Band spielt auf das Lied "Sultans of Swing" von Dire Straits aus dem Jahr 1978 an, aus einer Zeit, als es "Gotteslästerung war, irgendetwas Lustiges oder Gemeines ĂĽber Dire Straits zu sagen". Nach mehreren Ă?nderungen in der Besetzung wurde die Band auf die irische und britische Musikpresse aufmerksam, als "Whereâ??s Me Jumper" im Januar 1992 veröffentlicht wurde. Nach mehreren anderen unabhängig veröffentlichten Singles unterzeichnete die Band einen Vertrag bei Epic Records, der von Martin Heath von Rhythm King Records vermittelt wurde. Mit Epic veröffentlichte die Band ihr DebĂĽtalbum "Casual Sex In The Cineplex". Dieses DebĂĽtalbum aus dem Jahr 1993 erreichte den 23. Platz in den UK Album Charts und enthält die Singles "Whereâ??s Me Jumper", "Stupid Kid" und "You Talk Too Much". Diese Singles erreichten jeweils den 8., 11. bzw. 4. Platz in den irischen Singlecharts.
