Eine Supergroup, die ihre Musik ohne Instrumente macht â?? alles haben diese Mitglieder von Taking Back Sunday, Circa Survive und Grouplove mit dem Mund gemacht. Und dazu auf irgendwas herumgetrommelt. Fuckin Whatever ist ein â??flÃ¼ssiges Projektâ? â?? mit Anthony Green von Circa Survive, Adam Lazzara und John Nolan von Taking Back Sunday und zusÃ¤tzlicher Percussion von Benjamin Homola von Grouplove. Es entwickelte sich aus langjÃ¤hrigen Freundschaften und langen NÃ¤chten unterwegs auf Tour. Angefangen hat alles auf der Taste Of Chaos-Tour 2016. Nachdem Green sein ErÃ¶ffnungsset mit Saosin spielte, wollte er jede Nacht noch mehr Musik machen und fing an, improvisierte Akustik-Sets auf den ParkplÃ¤tzen zu spielen. Eines Nachts fÃ¼hrte das zu einer improvisierten Backstage-Jam-Session mit Lazzara, Nolan, Homola und anderen â?? allerdings ohne Instrumente. Nur ihre Stimmen und ein oder zwei Stomps anstelle von Percussion machten die Musik. Bevor sie es Ã¼berhaupt bemerkten, war Fuckin Whatever geboren. Sie beschlossen, diese nÃ¤chtlichen Jam-Sessions auf ihren Handys aufzunehmen, und am Ende der Tour gab es Dutzende von solchen Aufnahmen. Manche sind bis zu 17 Minuten lang, einige wurden in Badezimmern aufgenommen, und sogar einer im legendÃ¤ren Tunnel zwischen der BÃ¼hne und der Soundkabine im Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. -

Featuring Anthony Green of Circa Survive, Adam Lazzara and John Nolan of Taking Back Sunday and additional percussion from Benjamin Homola of Grouplove, Fuckin Whatever is a fluid project born of longtime friendships and late nights on the road, but what it could grow to become is entirely unwritten. It all started on the 2016 Taste Of Chaos tour. After Green wrapped his opening set with Saosin each night, itching to play more music, he started setting up impromptu acoustic gigs in the parking lots after his set. One night, his restless energy led to an impromptu backstage jam session with Lazzara, Nolan, Homola, and others - except there were no instruments involved. Using just their voices and a stomp or two in lieu of percussion... before they even realized it, Fuckin Whatever was born. There are zero instruments on Fuckin Whatever's self-titled debut. "It's pretty much 80% mouth noises and 20% Ben slapping things around the house," Lazzara explains. Those voices, however, are among some of the most recognizable in modern rock music, yet here they take on a new life. Call it a band, or a supergroup... it's Fuckin Whatever.
