Die Nits sind eine niederlÃ¤ndische Art-Pop-Rockgruppe, die 1974 in Amsterdam gegrÃ¼ndet wurde. Ihr musikalischer Stil hat sich im Laufe der Jahre ebenso geÃ¤ndert wie ihre Besetzung, aber die Kernmitglieder sind der LeadsÃ¤nger und Texter Henk Hofstede, Robert-Jan Stips an den Keyboards (der mit Supersister, Gruppo Sportivo, The Golden Earring zusammengearbeitet hat) und Rob Kloet am Schlagzeug. Im Jahr 2024 feiert die Band ihr 50-jÃ¤hriges JubilÃ¤um mit einer Europatournee und brandneuer Musik. The Nits are a Dutch art-pop-rock group, founded in 1974 in Amsterdam. Their musical style has varied over the years, as has their line-up, but the core members are lead singer and lyricist Henk Hofstede, RobertJan Stips on keyboards (who worked with Supersister, Gruppo Sportivo, Golden Earring) and Rob Kloet on drums. In 2024, the band is celebrating their 50th anniversary with a European tour and brand new music. Six fresh-penned tracks are featured on the mini album Tree House Fire, with the central theme of the songs being the fire that completely destroyed the band's Amsterdam studio in 2022. Black vinyl version including a 4-page booklet Tree House Fire was recorded in Amsterdam in the autumn of 2023 Tracks A1, A2, A3, B1 at Studio 150 (Bethlehemkerk), engineer Joeri Saal Tracks B2, B3 at Studio De Generator, engineer Paul Telman By mistake the data in the booklet mentions that the backing vocals by Sacha de Bruin, Jane Bordeaux & Sheena Tchai have track positions A2, A3, A4. This must be A2, A3, B1. On back cover: On the 16th of May 2022 our Studio De Werf burned down to the ground. The fire took everything. The fire gave us this album. The tree is still standing. The bird is still singing.
