Description: | Recorded in 1964 but not released until 1973, this classic double- header also features an all-star rhythm section of Ron Carter on bass and Elvin Jones on drums. - Stan Getz and Bill Evans are about as close as musicians can get in terms of artistry, musical philosophy and technique. These sessions, recorded in 1963 with drummer Elvin Jones and bassists Ron Carter (Side A) and Richard Davis (Side B), perfectly blend their strong individual styles and collaborative sensibilities, with both artists at the peak of their creative powers. Verve Acoustic Sounds Series features transfers from analog tapes and remastered on 180g vinyl in deluxe gatefold packaging.There is a 1:03 duration incomplete take of "Dark Eyes" after track B3, not listed anywhere on the release.
