Description: | The Bardic Depths will release their third album on the 7th of March 2024 on their own independent label, Bardic Depths Music. What We Really Like In Stories is the follow up to the critically acclaimed 'Promises Of Hope' and their self titled debut album.
The band consists of Dave Bandana, Gareth Cole, (One Sided Horse, Fractal Mirror) Peter Jones (Tiger Moth Tales, Camel, Cyan) and Tim Gehrt (Streets, Steve Walsh) providing all Vocal and Instrumentation and the album is mixed and mastered by Robin Armstrong (Cosmograf).
Lush harmonised vocals, dense melodic layers and the warm glow of bygone times are features of this latest opus from the quartet
- What We Really Like In Stories is the follow up to the critically acclaimed 'Promises Of Hope' and their self titled debut album. As with previous work, the literary theme is revisited and extended to celebrate Authors and their stories with each song dedicated to writers across the years including Alan Moore, Willa Carther, Walter Miller, Lewis and Tolkien and Robert Rankin. The lyrics were written by Brad Birzer and Dave Bandana based on the book "Mythic Realms" by Brad Birzer.
