It's not easy at all or even impossible to define the musical genre "Kraut". Nevertheless, Compost Records and Fred und Luna strike out on the path to find the diverse elements of German electronic music of the 1970s and 1980s and their effects on the new German and international music scene. After the immense success of Volume 1 a follow-up volume was soon started, tying in stylistically with it's predecessor and furthermore ? as this is one basic principle of the series ? expanding the musical spectrum by adding new krauty elements step by step.
