This version of Gettin' Together comes as a 1xLP. - Art Pepper's third album on the Contemporary Records label, "Gettin' Together" was released in 1960. Featuring a selection of both standards and originals the album also includes Conte Candoli (trumpet), Wynton Kelly (piano), Paul Chambers (bass), and Jimmy Cobb (drums). This new edition, released as part of the Acoustic Sounds Series, features (AAA) lacquers cut from the original master tapes by Bernie Grundman and is pressed on 180-gram vinyl at QRP, and presented in a tip-on jacket.Recorded February 29, 1960 at Contemporary Records' studio in Los Angeles."Gettin' Together (Ltd. Contemporary Records LP)" is a limited edition vinyl release by the legendary alto saxophonist Art Pepper, issued by Concord Records. This album captures Pepper at a creative peak, recorded in 1960 and featuring an all-star lineup including Wynton Kelly on piano, Paul Chambers on bass, and Jimmy Cobb on drums?musicians renowned for their work with Miles Davis.
