 | Description: | â??Parisâ??, the double live album by The Cure, has turned 30 years
old, and to celebrate, remastered 2LP and 1CD versions will be reissued
featuring two bonus tracks. â??Parisâ?? has been remastered by Robert Smith
and Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, London. The LP, which is being
issued on black vinyl for the first time since 1993, was cut by Miles Showell
at Abbey Road.
â??Parisâ?? was the second of two live records documenting the bandâ??s 1992
tour in support of their ninth album â??Wishâ??. The first album â??Showâ?? was
released in September 1993 and reissued in July last year.
The 14-track album was recorded over three nights at Le Zénith de Paris in
October 1992 and includes the singles â??Lovesongâ?, â??Catchâ?, â??A Letter To
Eliseâ?, â??Charlotte Sometimesâ?, â??Close To Meâ? and the perennial Cure live
favourites â??Play For Todayâ? and â??One Hundred Yearsâ??.
The Cureâ??s 30th anniversary re-issue of â??Parisâ?? has now been expanded with
the addition of two recently discovered previously unreleased tracks
â??Shake Dog Shakeâ? and â??Hot Hot Hot!!!â? which now top and tail the
album. The album running order has also been reconfigured accordingly. - Presented in a single pocket sleeve which has spot gloss varnish front and back.
Picture labels. Discs held in picture inner sleeves of top opening matte paper.
There is a hype sticker applied to the shrink-wrap on the front.
Copies may come with an additional sticker on the reverse showing country of manufacture.
On this reissue, the title to the sleeve front is purple/red (matching the lipstick) which differs from the first edition where [r=1552728] is printed in white.
