 | Descripción: | Vinyl LP pressing. Recorded in May 1963, Silver's Serenade was the last in a fantastic run of albums that pianist Horace Silver would make with the most celebrated line-up of his Quintet featuring Blue Mitchell on trumpet, Junior Cook on tenor saxophone, Gene Taylor on bass, and Roy Brooks on drums. The core of the band had been together since 1959 and recorded hard bop classics like Finger Poppin' and Blowin' the Blues Away, with Brooks joining in 1960 on Horace-Scope. The program on Silver's Serenade consists of five Silver tunes that epitomize his exceptional compositional style: captivating melodies, sophisticated harmonies, and intricate rhythmic inventions with a soulful and unerring sense of swing at the core. From the relaxed groove of the opening title track to the hard-charging finale "Nineteen Bars" the Quintet delivers their swan song with style., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Bass: Gene Taylor, Design [Cover Design], Cover [Cover Design]: Reid Miles, Drums: Roy Brooks, Engineer [Recording Engineer]: Rudy Van Gelder, Lacquer Cut By: Joe Harley, Lacquer Cut By: Kevin Gray, Lacquer Cut By: Kevin Gray, Liner Notes: Joel Dorn, Mastered By [LP Mastering By]: Kevin Gray, Photography By [Photography]: Francis Wolff, Piano: Horace Silver, Producer [Original Sessions Produced By]: Alfred Lion, Supervised By [LP Reissue Supervision By]: Joe Harley, Tenor Saxophone [Tenor Sax]: Junior Cook, Trumpet: Blue Mitchell, Written-By: Horace Silver, Labelcode 4595320 (602445953202, BST 84131, ST-84131, 84131), Record Company Blue Note Records, Record Company UMG Recordings, Inc., Record Company Capitol Records, LLC, Record Company Blue Note Records Inc., Manufactured By Record Technology Incorporated, Distributed By Universal Music Enterprises, Copyright (c) Capitol Records, LLC, Recorded At Van Gelder Studio, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, Mastered At Cohearent Audio, Lacquer Cut At Cohearent Audio, Pressed By Record Technology Incorporated, Printed By Stoughton Printing Co."Silver's Serenade (Tone Poet Vinyl)" es un magistral LP del legendario pianista y compositor de jazz Horace Silver editado por el prestigioso sello Blue Note Records.
