This album was recorded in 1958 by the pianist Sonny Clark for Blue Note Records. The session consists of Art Farmer and Jackie mcLean (horns) with Philly Joe Jones and Paul Chambers (rhythm section). Since the release "Cool struttin'" enjoys a cult status among jazz followers. The cover art of this album is also famous; designer Reid Miles uses an original photo of Alfred Lion's (BN producer) wife Ruth.
