Lisa Frankenstein is a darkly comedic horror-romance film released on DVD by Universal (DVD). Set in the late 1980s, the movie follows Lisa Swallows, an eccentric teenager who accidentally reanimates a handsome Victorian corpse during a lightning storm. As she helps him adjust to modern life and seeks revenge against those who've wronged her, their unusual bond grows into something more. The film stars Kathryn Newton as Lisa, known for her roles in "Freaky" and "Big Little Lies," showcasing her talent for blending humor with emotional depth. Opposite her is Cole Sprouse as the charming yet undead companion; Sprouse gained fame through his performances in "Riverdale" and "Five Feet Apart." The director Zelda Williams makes an impressive feature debut with this stylish blend of gothic romance and sharp wit?Williams has previously directed acclaimed short films and TV episodes.
