| | Description: | Atlantic ist die Idee des Gitarristen und Songwriters Simon Harrison. Nach einer erfolgreichen Ghostwriter-Karriere und seinen Bands Stranger und Wisht wollte Simon ein Album in seinem bevorzugten AOR/Melodic-Rock-Genre machen. Stark beeinflusst von Bands wie Whitesnake, Journey, Bad English, FM und Dare machte er sich daran, die Songs zu schreiben, aus denen das erste Album "Power" wurde.
Atlantic war nie als dauerhafte Band geplant, und nach der weltweiten Veröffentlichung des Albums widmete sich Simon anderen Projekten wie dem Schreiben, Aufnehmen, Produzieren und Mischen. In den späten Neunzigern lernte Simon Mark Grimmett kennen. In den folgenden Jahren nahm er mehrere Songs mit Mark auf und sie beschlossen, irgendwann ein gemeinsames Album zu machen. Im Jahr 2021 sprach Mark mit Simon über das Schreiben und Aufnehmen eines neuen Albums.
Ursprünglich sollte es den Titel MGB Band tragen und die Arbeit begann im Herbst 2021... Anfang 2022 hatten sie eine Reihe von Songs geschrieben und beide waren der Meinung, dass sie am besten zu einem neuen Album unter dem Atlantic-Banner passen würden. Mehrere Mitglieder von Grim Reaper wurden rekrutiert, um dem Album eine besondere Note zu geben, während
melodischen Rock/AOR-Gefühl, das Atlantic ausmacht, zu erhalten. Mark Pullin, Julian D. Hill und Ian Nash wurden zusammen mit dem Keyboarder Gareth David Noon von Serpentine in die Band aufgenommen.
Die Besetzung sollte sich im weiteren Verlauf des Projekts ändern: Simon und Tim Bristow übernahmen die Rolle des Keyboarders, Nick Burr und Andy Margrett kamen an der Leadgitarre hinzu. Die Arbeiten wurden im Laufe des nächsten Jahres fortgesetzt und schlie�lich wurde die Produktion Ende 2023 abgeschlossen. Nach einigen unvorhergesehenen Problemen in Simons Studio übernahm Mark Pullin den Mix des Albums, der im März 2024 abgeschlossen wurde. Escape Music hatte das ursprüngliche "Power"-Album wiederveröffentlicht und war absolut die erste Wahl, um mit ihnen an dem neuen Album zu arbeiten.

Atlantic was the brainchild of guitarist and songwriter Simon Harrison. Following a successful ghost-writing career and his bands Stranger and Wisht, Simon wanted to make an album in his favoured AOR/Melodic Rock genre. Heavily influenced by bands like Whitesnake, Journey, Bad English, FM and Dare he set about writing the songs that became the first album entitled 'Power'. Atlantic was never supposed to be a long-term band and following it's worldwide release Simon moved on to other writing, recording, production and mix projects. In the late nineties Simon met Mark Grimmett. He recorded several songs with Mark over the following few years and they decided at some point they would make a record together. Fast forward to 2021 Mark was talking to Simon about writing and recording a new album. Originally entitled the MGB Band, work started in the fall of 2021. By early 2022 they had written a number of songs and they both felt they would best suit a new album under the Atlantic banner. Several members of Grim Reaper were recruited to give the Album an edge, whilst retaining the essential melodic rock/AOR feel that is Atlantic. Mark Pullin, Julian D. Hill and Ian Nash were duly recruited into the band along with keyboardist Gareth David Noon from Serpentine. The lineup was to change later in the project with Simon and Tim Bristow taking over the keyboard role and the addition of Nick Burr and Andy Margrett on lead guitar. Work continued over the next year and finally the production was completed in late 2023. Mark Pullin stepped up to mix the album after some unforeseen issues at Simon's studio and it was completed in March 2024. Escape Music had re-released the original Power album and were absolutely the first choice to work with on the new album.Limited edition of 300 copies only
