The arrival of the conqueror is near and the world as we know it is doomed to destruction. At least, thatâ??s what threatens mankind according to the story that Kasselâ??s Chaos Path have been preparing on their previous releases â??The Awakeningâ?? (2018) and â??Downfallâ?? (2019), and which will be completed on their third opus â??The Last Sign Of Edenâ??, due out on 6 September. Chaos Pathâ??s roots lie in Nordic-inspired melodic black metal, which the band mixes with the harshness of German thrash to form a blend that is both innovative and groundbreaking. â??The Last Sign Of Edenâ?? playfully combines razor-sharp riffs, brutal flurries, progressive structures and highly melodic guitar work with the anthemic epic of heavy metal and immediately soaks into the ear canals. The bandâ??s structure around the two founding members Ancient Weapon (v) and Richy Backfire (g) and long-term drummer Soul Obliterator has been greatly enhanced in recent years with the arrival of new members Nocturnal Reaper (g) and The Doom Lord (b), making the strongest line-up in the bandâ??s eight-year history a reality. The quintet celebrate an intense, dark live performance and have already conquered numerous club and festival stages. Most recently, they played at Metal Bash and Protzen Open Air, and around the time of the album release, the band can still be seen live at Schwalm Metal and at the album release show on the open-air stage in Hann. MÃ¼nden. Chaos Path is an important part of the very active scene in and around Kassel, as well as underground metal in general. -
