This album features McLean in a quintet setting with Charles Tolliver (tp), Herbie Hancock (p), Cecil Mc Bee (b) and drummer Roy Haynes and it was recorded in 1964 (released on Blue note). In my opinion most Blue Note sessions led by Jackie mcLean are enjoyable; "It's time" is no exception although this album is one of his more obscure ones. Maybe not an essential listen but this cd is nevertheless recommended.
