daniel t. - 18/Jan/2025 5 of 5 Stars!
"The all seeing eye" is the ninth album by saxophonist Wayne Shorter. This session was recorded in 1965 and released on blue note records. The album was conceived as an attempt to depict the meaning of life, existence and the nature of God and the universe... The music on this cd is not basic bop and blues... this music by the septet is stimulating and still sounds fresh and vital in our era. On the final track "Mephistopheles" Alan Shorter (brother of..) joins the band to play flugelhorn. A self recommending cd.
