Die vorliegende Aufnahme enthÃ¤lt Luigi Boccherinis sÃ¤mtliche erhaltene Quintette mit zwei Bratschen. DarÃ¼ber hinaus ein Quintett von Claudio Valenti, das von Boccherini inspiriert wurde und die LÃ¼cke fÃ¼llt, denn ursprÃ¼nglich bestand Boccherinis op. 60 aus sechs Quintetten, die der Komponist, wie auch sein op. 62, Luciano Bonaparte gewidmet hat, einem seiner wichtigsten GÃ¶nner. Es existiert die Theorie, dass die Werke in der fÃ¼r Boccherini ungewÃ¶hnlichen Besetzung mit zwei Bratschen (statt zwei Violoncelli) in den frÃ¼hen 1780er-Jahren als Streichsextette entstanden sein kÃ¶nnten. -
