century distills all his poetic skill through songs that became one of the bases of Armenian culture.
Three of these works directly evoke Sayat-Nova, in particular the Ballade and Poème by Gérard Gasparian, placed at the centre of this recital, following Arno Babadjanian's sublime Elegy, a vibrant homage to Aram Khachaturian (1903-19780), which recaptures another theme by Sayat-Nova. - In 2022 the pianist Jean-Paul Gasparian completed his first album for naive dedicated to Debussy by a transcription made by his father - Rondes de printemps, the third of Debussy's Images for orchestra.
