Description:

3rd album by the instrumental rock band Der Neue Planet from Cologne. They describe their music as "Heavy Dream Prog": Heavy, massive stoner riffs form the contrast to dreamy-playful post-rock melodies and again and again you are surprised as a listener by changes of style. The songs are long and unfold a wild genre mix of different influences: jazz, Latin, funk, metal, doom, psychedelic or disco. The compositions are versatile and progressive without falling into technical dudeling or loud-quiet post rock clichÃ©s. In five very different pieces, the band lets off steam and touches on numerous styles of music history without losing their own melodic recognition value. It is difficult to classify the genre exactly. Post- and stoner rock elements merge with sounds from funk to jazz, kraut and psychedelic rock parts, to rock-hard metal clapping.
