This record serves as the band's response to emerging music trends, notably the grunge scene. Following their hiatus in the autumn of 1992, they managed to avoid producing any awkward grunge-influenced albums, unlike many significant thrash bands of that era. This consistent adherence to their unique style sets PRESTIGE apart. For the production of this album, the band chose a new studio and a different producer as for their previous releases. They paid careful attention to both the songs and the production, spending more time in the studio than ever before; roughly three weeks in total.
