Iâ??ve always listened to all types of music, and Iâ??m thrilled that #LetsBaRock gives me the freedom to show this side of my creative life.â? Working as a team, OrliÅ?ski and pianist-composer-arranger Aleksander DÄ?bicz have created pop and jazz-infused â??cover versionsâ?? of pieces by Handel, Monteverdi, Purcell, Vivaldi and their lesser-known contemporary Francesco Nicola Fago. DÄ?bicz has also supplied three new compositions for the album, which is completed with a version of a 1990s hit by the Polish band Hey. Reinforcing the albumâ??s pop credentials is the participation of drummer Marcin UÅ?anowski and bassist Wojciech GumiÅ?ski, Among the tracks on #LetsBaRock is a new take on an aria that has played an important role in Jakub JÃ³zef OrliÅ?skiâ??s career, Vivaldiâ??s â??VedrÃ² con mio dilettoâ??. In 2017 a performance on video, made in Provence for France Musique, achieved phenomenal momentum on YouTube and has since been viewed 11 million times. -
