LÃ©on Berben was able to use two of the most famous early baroque organs in Germany for his complete recording of organ works by Matthias Weckmann (ca. 1616-1674): the Hans Scherer organ (1624) in St. Stephen's Church in TangermÃ¼nde and the Friedrich Stellwagen organ (1636) in St. Jakobi Church in LÃ¼beck. Both authentic instruments are wonderfully preserved and have been restored in exemplary fashion. -
