| Description: | "Nothing is good and everything could be better. In a bad mood and confident, concentrated and easily distracted, the Berlin trio Acht Eimer Hühnerherzen search for happiness on their fourth studio album "Lieder" where the nylon punk framework creaks: in the dead end with a turning circle, in the short bright nights and the long dark days, on the edges of everyday life, where the scraps of language mourn and dance. 14 montages that start anew 15 times, turn, move forward - and promise. Where "Lieder" doesn't push, that's where it is most urgent; where it rumbles, it is smooth; and where it is quiet, that's where it gets loud." Robert Zwarg Music with a three-quarter scale nylon string concert guitar, a nylon string short bass, drums, fuzz and overdrive. Live and analog recorded in Studio-B Berlin, on a 16-track tape machine, no loops, no beats, no edits, no dogs. Produced by Kurt Ebelhäuser & SmaiL Shock & Acht Eimer Hühnerherzen.
- Digipak that folds out into four panels (8 sides), containing the lyrics.
The first four words of the chorus of "Klaus" are taken from a performance by Ingo ?Hugo? Dietrich for the funeral of East Germany's currency in Hoyerswerda, 1991."Lieder" is the latest CD release by Acht Eimer Hühnerherzen, a Berlin-based punk band known for their unique blend of acoustic punk and witty German lyrics. Formed in 2016, the trio quickly gained recognition with their minimalist setup?guitar, bass ukulele, and drums?and have since become cult favorites within Germany?s alternative scene. Their previous albums received critical acclaim for their raw energy and clever songwriting. "Lieder" continues this tradition with catchy melodies and sharp social commentary that showcase the band's distinctive style. The album is released under Kidnap Music / Cargo, an independent label renowned for supporting innovative artists in the punk and indie genres across Europe. |
