 | | Description: | Before they become a proper band, Greenleaf began as a loose collective of friends making 70s-inspired hard rock and proto-metal. Led by guitarist Tommi Holappa, co-founder of European desert rock originators Dozer, various configurations of Greenleaf included members of Lowrider, Truckfighters, Demon Cleaner, Dozer and more. And despite the rotating cast of players, they managed to release multiple albums of the highest caliber riff rock across the 14 years in their original unstructured form.

Now, in celebration of the Swedish heavyweights' astonishing 25-year career and the stratospheric release of their June 2024 LP 'The Head & The Habit', Magnetic Eye Records brings forth brand new reissues of three of GREENLEAF's iconic out-of-print classics, with new editions of 'Secret Alphabets', 'Agents of Ahriman' and 'Nest of Vipers' presented as sleek new colored vinyl editions and digisleeve CD."Secret Alphabets (Digisleeve)" is a CD release by Swedish heavy rock band Greenleaf on the independent label Magnetic Eye Records. The album showcases the band's signature blend of fuzzy stoner riffs, melodic hooks and a warm, organic sound rooted in 1970s rock tradition. Across its tracks, Greenleaf balance massive, down-tuned guitars with strong vocal lines and dynamic songwriting, moving confidently between heavy, driving passages and more atmospheric, psychedelic moments. The Digisleeve packaging underlines the record's album-oriented character, offering a cohesive visual concept to match the band's immersive sound. This CD is aimed at listeners who appreciate heavy rock with groove, depth and a clear sense of craftsmanship rather than disposable singles.
Greenleaf, formed in Sweden, have become a respected name in the stoner and heavy rock underground through a series of well-regarded albums and energetic live performances. Often praised for their powerful riff work and memorable choruses, they've steadily built an international following among fans of bands like Truckfighters, Dozer and other Scandinavian fuzz-rock pioneers. Over the years, Greenleaf have appeared on key scene festivals and tours, reinforcing their reputation as a reliable source of high-quality, song-oriented heavy rock that bridges classic inspiration with a modern, punchy production.
Magnetic Eye Records is an independent label known for its focus on heavy, psychedelic, doom and stoner-oriented music, with a strong emphasis on quality production and carefully curated rosters. The label has built a reputation for detailed, collector-friendly physical editions, including thoughtfully designed CDs and vinyl releases, and has become a go-to address for fans looking for both established and emerging names in heavy and atmospheric rock. With "Secret Alphabets (Digisleeve)", Magnetic Eye Records once again underscores its role as a tastemaker for immersive, riff-driven music that values both sound and presentation. | | | Cover: |
