Description:DAN's long-awaited new album 'Sonatine' is complete, his first in two years!Further evolving from their first album, which became a representative work of 2016, DAN has completed a world-class work in both song quality and sound quality. DAN, a rare band in Japan that continues to update and play the 'current' sound, is finally expanding overseas with a UK TOUR and an Asian tour, and will release a definitive album to the world as they expand their scale. The album opens with the intro 'Start' that will be the entrance to your trip, the sparkling synth tones, and the killer pre-release single 'Chance' with it's cosmic trance feeling in the latter half. The groovy 'Sundance' is reminiscent of low experimental disco. The instrumental 'Cyberphunk' shows the sublimation of bass music and IDM grooves and tones in their own way. The album progresses with the musique concrete interval 'Debris', and these songs are a sound that clearly tells us that they have found a new expression as a band. In the second half, 'Pendulum' is a cosmic blues song with minimal phrases and lyrics with sci-fi motifs. 'Replica' is a beautiful ambient R&B masterpiece. 'Borderland' features a rhythm section that moves groovy with cosmic steppers, and vocals and synths that dramatically develop across the field. This sense of elation can be said to be one of the climaxes of the second half of this album. The album closes with the R&B track 'Orange,' which is their true essence, mellow and chilled out, and lyrics that paint a beautiful yet melancholic scene. The sound is a direct expansion of the expressiveness of the three bands. Nine new works that seem to set off on a new course. This work, which has stepped into another new dimension, marks the beginning of their second chapter. The recording engineers were Masao Saotome, who has worked with Yoshihiro Hanno, Jazztronik, and Ohashi Trio, and AOKI takamasa, one of Japan's leading electronic musicians. LISTEN:https://open.
