All the blue note recordings from the sixtees led by saxophonist Joe Henderson are worth collecting. "In 'n' out", recorded in 1964, is a good exemple. Henderson is teamed up with Kenny Dorham (tp), McCoy Tyner (p), Richard Davis (b) and Elvin Jones (d). The album's title track is a progressive hard bop piece; and all the other advanced hard bop selections on this cd are memorable and enjoyable as well. This disk is highly recommended.
