Dejan LaziÄ? is back with a new recording live from the Gstaad Mehunin Festival 2022. This performance contains Johannes Brahmsâ?? 2 Rhapsodies, Op. 79, written in 1879 during composerâ??s summer stay in PÃ¶rtschach, Austria, when he had reached the maturity of his career. They were inscribed to his friend, the musician and composer Elisabeth von Herzogenberg. Beethovenâ??s famous â??Moonlightâ?? Sonata needs no introduction, a popular favourite both in the composerâ??s day and in the present. Mozartâ??s Piano Sonata No. 13 â??Linz Sonataâ? & Schubertâ??s Der Hirt auf dem Felsen are also included in this release. Closing the programme is a piece written by Dejan himself, his Rhapsody in Istrian Style, Op. 18b is inspired by the folk music of the Istrian peninsula which many croatian pianists have been fascinated by. -
