UK melodic Prog Rock band Stuckfish are proud to announce the release of their new album, â??IVâ?? on the 11th of September 2024. â??IVâ?? contains many of the trademark cinematic elements they are known for, but with some surprises also in store. Says composer/producer Adrian Fisher, â??We had to raise the bar again in terms of freshness of ideas, concepts, themes and production. I feel that bar has been raised musically via the use of more acoustic guitars, orchestral instruments, extra vocal harmonies, and incorporating not only our shortest song to date, but also our longest.â? â??IVâ?? boasts a couple of firsts for the band. Their first album to be released through the White Knight Records Label, run by Robert Reed of Magenta and Cyan fame. The first album to feature the talents of new Keyboard player Paul McNally, especially on the track JFKX. A 12-page lyric booklet in the CD for the first time so that the listener can immerse themselves into the narrative and discover for themselves what lies beneath. ADRIAN FISHER â??It felt like a daunting prospect to follow up our third album, â??Days of Innocenceâ?? with new songs for â??IVâ??, as we had to raise the bar again in terms of freshness of ideas, concepts, themes and production. I feel that bar has been raised, culminating in our best album to dateâ?. PHILIP STUCKEY â??The challenge for me was to create lyrics that matched the ambition we had for the album, and float them on fresh melodies that allowed me to express myself vocally. This meant we had to take our time and let the new ideas emerge naturally. The music often came first and was so good I simply couldnâ??t waste a single word.â? -
