Description:Das Album "Obsession" von UFO aus dem Jahr 1978 ist das letzte Werk, auf dem Michael Schenker zu hören war - bis er in den 90er Jahren nach seinem Ausstieg in die Band zurückkehrte. Durch die gute Zusammenarbeit von Mogg und Schenker wirken die Aufnahmen von "Obsession" noch atmosphärischer und düsterer als frühere Veröffentlichungen. Für diese "Obsession" 2024 Remaster - Deluxe Edition wurde das Album von den Original Produktionsbändern bei AIR Masteringneu gemastert und die beiden erhältlichen Formate, 2CD und 3LP-Set, mit jeder Menge Zusatzmaterial angereichert. Auf beiden Formaten wird ein bisher unveröffentlichter 2024 Mix von Live at The Agora Ballroom, Cleveland, präsentiert, der ursprünglich auf dem Live-Album-Klassiker "Strangers In The Night" enthalten war. Neu abgemischt vom renommierten Tontechniker Brian Kehew von den originalen Mehrspurbändern, was dem Album den bisher besten Klang verleiht. Die zusätzlichen 4 Bonus-Tracks beinhalten eine bisher unveröffentlichte alternative Version von 'Cherry' sowie 2 Studio-Tracks, die in den Monaten nach der Veröffentlichung von "Obsession" in The Record Plant für das Live-Album "Strangers In The Night" aufgenommen wurden. Die Deluxe-Version im 2CD-Digipak kommt mit mit O-Card und einem Poster-Booklet das Liner-Notes von Michael Hann und Interviews mit Phil Mogg, Andy Parker und Michael Schenker enthält. -
