 | Description: | This brand new â??40th Anniversary Edition of the double CD is being released on our own label for the first time. We have taken the opportunity to update some of the artwork, thanks to the heroic Spencer Rowbotham, but as we promised many years ago when we started the â??Definitive Editionâ?? series, the track listing is unchanged from the expanded â??Definitive Editionâ?? version released on F2/Festival music back in 2010.
As before the full-colour 16-page booklet features extensive sleeve notes and all the lyrics lavishly illustrated with some stunning images, making it both a beautifully presented and sounding release.
Art & Illusion was our first album with new singer Andy Sears and was originally released in October 1984 on the Music For Nations label reaching no. 83 in the official charts, and to this day remains the only Twelfth Night release to feature in the â??Guinness Book of Hit Singles and Albumsâ??!
As mentioned, the track listing mirrors the expanded â??Definitive Editionâ?? version, which comprises the original album, with its addition of contemporary demos featuring early versions of several tracks that would appear on the bandâ??s next album, XII, and a second disc featuring the 12-track live set recorded in various venues on the bandâ??s â??Art & Illusionâ?? tour in October 1984. 24 tracks in total! - BOOKLETThis brand new '40th Anniversary Edition of the double CD is being released on our own label for the first time.
