Formed in New York in 1987, Winger jumped to popularity with their self-titled studio album released in 1988. The album includes the hits â??Headed for a Heartbreakâ? and â??Madalaineâ?. On February 1989 the album peaked at #21 on the Billboard 200 and stayed on the chart for 63 weeks. It achieved Platinum status in the US and Gold status in Canada and Japan. Winger toured with Scorpions, Cinderella, Bon Jovi, Skid Row amongst others in support of the album. -
