 | Description: | Today, in 2024, France Gall remains an exceptional artist who shaped French pop music forever. She took on a new dimension in 1974, the year that marked the beginning of her collaboration with Michel Berger, which generated some hits like "Il jouait du piano debout", "Résiste", "Débranche", "Ella elle lâ??a", "Babacar", "Si maman si" and "Ã?videmment", among many othersâ?¦ These songs, characterized by their incredible modernity, defy time and are supported by a unique vocal timbre and sense of rhythm, combined with a revolutionary production in the French music landscape.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the extraordinary Gall - Berger collaboration, Warner Music France announces the release of the Best Of "Plus haut", which will be available in four editions: single CD and double vinyl (18 tracks each), 3CD edition (57 tracks) and single vinyl (10 tracks).
In addition to the aforementioned songs, each format of this Best Of will also include hits like "Musique", "Besoin dâ??amour" (from the Rock Opera â??Starmaniaâ??), "Tout pour la musique" and a previously unreleased track from 1974: "La prisonnière."
The double vinyl, CD, and 3CD editions of the Best Of â??Plus hautâ?? will extend France Gallâ??s magic, featuring tracks like "La déclaration dâ??amour", "Viens je tâ??emmène", "Ã?a balance pas mal à Paris", "Diego libre dans sa tête", "Cézanne peint", "Laissez passer les rêves" and "Plus haut" (in its version from the 1996 album â??France,â?? produced by France Gall herself in Los Angeles and Princeâ??s studio in Minneapolis, USA).
The 3CD edition will also include even more fan-favorite songs, such as "Comment lui dire", "Samba Mambo", "Donner pour donner" (with Elton John), "Amor tambien", "Calypso", "Papillon de nuit", "La chanson d'Azima" and live versions of "Le paradis blanc", "La minute de silence", "Quelques mots d'amour" (from Bercy in 1993) and "Quelque chose de Tennessee" in duet with her friend Johnny Hallyday (from Olympia on August 12, 2000).
