 | Description: | The loss of EDDIE COCHRAN in April 1960 was equally as tragic as that of Buddy Holly, just fourteen months earlier. At the age of twenty-one Eddie was a year younger than Buddy, but like him he had the world at his feet and there was no limit to what he might have gone on to achieve. This compilation is drawn from EPs issued variously in the US, the UK, France and Sweden between 1957-62, and features a collection of hits, B-sides and album tracks, including a number of sides which were not originally released. These tracks have been sequenced chronologically, in the order they were recorded and thus opens with a couple of his earliest R&R demos, â??Long Tall Sallyâ?? and â??Blue Suede Shoesâ??, recorded in May/June 1956, and closes with his posthumous UK #1, â??Three Steps To Heavenâ??. - The loss of Eddie Cochran in April 1960 was equally as tragic as that of Buddy Holly, just fourteen months earlier.
