Description: | A singular journey through classical, jazz and world music. Renaud Garcia-Fons is a virtuoso soloist and a composer whose talent is universally recognised, and he presents his latest quartet project. Renaud Garcia-Fons is one of those musicians who is at one with his instrument. In fact, as far as he knows, he's always played double bass! A musician of disconcerting agility, he shines above all in the multiplicity and variety of his projects. Renaud Garcia-Fons is an internationally acclaimed composer and musician on the jazz scene, exploring the voices of his five-string double bass to explore the music of the Mediterranean, flamenco, Indian, Oriental, African and Latin music. He takes us on a jazz journey that knows no geographical or stylistic boundaries. He will be joined for the first time by Solea Garcia-Fons, his daughter, on vocals. Talent runs in the family! - Recorded at Théâtre du Vésinet, April 2024 by François Renault (main stage live conditions) |
