Description:Digitally remastered and expanded two CD edition. Originally released in November 1971, the album was the first release by the band and featured a continuous piece of music divided into 13 tracks. This impressive conceptual science fiction inspired work, which was interpreted as a commentary on the nuclear arms race, was the band's first album release and originally appeared in Germany, the country where the British band were formed and were based, enjoying commercial success and building Nektar's loyal following. This 2CD edition features a completely new remaster of the original stereo album mix (from the original master tapes), plus both tracks from the 'Do You Believe in Magic' single issued in April 1972.
"Journey to the Centre of the Eye - 2CD" is a deluxe reissue of Nektar's groundbreaking debut album, presented in an expanded two-disc format by Cherry Red Records. Originally released in 1971, this concept album takes listeners on a psychedelic journey through space and consciousness, blending progressive rock with cosmic soundscapes and intricate musicianship. The new edition features remastered audio for enhanced clarity and includes rare bonus tracks that provide deeper insight into the band's creative process during their formative years. Nektar, formed in Germany by British musicians, became pioneers of progressive rock with albums like "A Tab in the Ocean" and "Remember the Future," earning international acclaim for their innovative approach to storytelling through music. Cherry Red Records is renowned for its dedication to preserving classic albums across genres, offering expertly curated releases that celebrate musical heritage while introducing timeless works to new generations.
