Description:"Panopticonâ??s ""...on the Subject of Mortality"" is a poignant exploration of grief, written in the aftermath of the loss of one of Austin Lunn's parents. Originally released in 2009 and remixed in 2016, it delves into the emotional depths of human existence, processing death, and the fleeting nature of life. With atmospheric black metal and post-rock influences, the album reflects Lunn's personal journey through loss, deeply inspired by the existential themes of The Seventh Seal. This LP version comes on a limited coloured vinyl (electric blue) with an insert containing liner notes and lyrics." - ELECTRIC BLUE
Delivered in a single sleeve printed with the track list and credits on the back. Includes a paper insert printed with lyrics, credits, thanks from the artist and liner notes written by Austin Lunn in 2010. Limited to 500 copies worldwide: 300 distributed by Bindrune for the US and 200 distributed by Nordvis for Europe. From the sleeve & paper insert: "-Music written sporadically between 2000 and 2009. -Photos taken [...] in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. -Band photo taken [...] above the tree line at sunrise, somewhere between Drammen and Bergen Norway. -Recorded [...] at the Cricket cave, Lundr house, Louisville KY in 2009. -Edited and completely remixed [...] in 2016. -Mastered [...] in 2016." The album contains some media samples taken from the movie "The Seventh Seal" by Ingar Bergman. Track durations are not printed on the release.
