 | Description: | SWEDISH SINGER-SONGWRITER JONATHAN HULTÃ?N RETURNS WITH HIS NEW ALBUM â??EYES OF THE
LIVING NIGHTâ??, AVAILABLE ON PEARL BLUE VINYL LP
THE FOLLOW UP TO THE EXTRAORDINARY DEBUT ALBUM â??CHANTS FROM ANOTHER PLACEâ??
Building on the haunting beauty of his 2020 debut album 'Chants From Another Place', Swedish songwriter
Jonathan Hultén returns this year with the highly anticipated follow-up 'Eyes Of The Living Night'. Recorded at
Stockholmâ??s Chanting Studios & co-produced with Ola Ersfjord (Lady Blackbird/Tribulation/Monolord), 'Eyes Of The
Living Night' is a remarkable showcase of Hulténâ??s distinctive blend of folk, rock & pop. Drawing influence from the likes
of Bert Jansch, John Martyn & Nick Drake as well as contemporaries such as Anna Ternheim, Chelsea Wolfe &
Hexvessel, Hulténâ??s music both acknowledges the genreâ??s heritage & reinvents it in innovative & intriguing ways.
â??Staggering emotional depth, as well as an astonishing poetic economy, his less-is-more approach creates a sense of
reverence & vulnerability that invest the material with a potent vitalityâ? - Metal Hammer
'Eyes Of The Living Night' delves deep into the human spirit. Merging the raw emotion of his earlier work with a more
expansive, otherworldly sound, Jonathan Hultén has created an album that shimmers, taking listeners through the
decades of rock, synth-pop, blues & folk on a journey best described as â??Ambient Dream-grungeâ?.
â??His multi-tracked vocals make for goosebump-raising ASMRâ? â?? Classic Rock
â??The title Eyes Of The Living Night is about reawakening a sense of awe & wonder in one's perception of the worldâ?
Hultén comments. â??Finding imagination to be a key to breaking free from the wheels of stagnation & to rediscover
hidden treasures within the depths of one's mind. To plunge into the abyss of your own fears & anxieties & to emerge
on the other side, transformed by the experience. The "living night" as a concept symbolizes the mystery & hidden
creative potential we all carry.â?
The new album follows extensive European touring from Hultén throughout 2023 & 2024, most notably his recent series
of shows supporting legendary act, The Cult, in Europe & the UK, with a North America tour confirmed in February 2025
with Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats.
This edition of 'Eyes Of The Living Night' is presented on Pearl Blue vinyl LP.
