CD1 opens with two of the greatest rock & pop groups of all time: kicking off with Queen, and the timeless 'Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy', followed by Electric Light Orchestra's 'Turn To Stone'. Donna Summer's 'Theme From The Deep (Down Deep Inside)' was a Top 5 smash and a true gem, and Boney M.'s 'Sunny' offers a timeless disco cover. Next comes pop classics from David Parton, covering Stevie Wonder's 'Isn't She Lovely', and Leo Sayer with 'How Much Love', alongside Bryan Ferry's top 15 hit 'Tokyo Joe'. Lesser compiled tracks from Elton John with 'Crazy Water', and Carole Bayer Sager with 'I'd Rather Leave While I'm In Love', are joined by big hits from Elkie Brooks, Smokie and Showaddywaddy, plus the theme from the smash hit TV show 'Happy Days'. The first disc concludes with a run of superb soul including from Billy Paul, Barry White, Rose Royce and George Benson with his original version of 'The Greatest Love Of All'. CD2 begins with a stellar run of punk and new wave. Iggy Pop's defining 'Lust For Life' opens, followed by The Jam's debut 'In The City' and The Clash's anthemic 'Complete Control'. The Stranglers bring 'Something Better Change', and The Boomtown Rats' with 'Mary Of The 4th Form', while Blondie's 'Rip Her To Shreds' continues the band's signature mix of genres. Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers scored a big hit with 'Egyptian Reggae' ahead of legends Elvis Costello, and Elvis Presley. Rock from Steve Gibbons Band, Status Quo and Thin Lizzy with 'Don't Believe A Word' is up next, whilst the disc slows to it's close with hit country tracks from Pussycat, Glen Campbell and Linda Ronstadt's 'Blue Bayou'.
