The Waterline is Andy Nixonâ??s first solo album after releasing four albums with his band Freedom To Glide. Andy is also guitarist and vocalist in the legendary band Badfinger (feat. Bob Jackson). Andy says: â??I've experienced a completely different journey creating this album. Musically, it's the culmination of the vast array of artists I've been inspired by in my life as a musician. So there are elements of rock, pop, jazz, folk, country, prog, classical and I'm sure a fair few other less obvious genresâ?. â??The analogies to do with the ocean seem endless to me and when I reflect on my song-writing on the four albums of Freedom To Glide itâ??s clear how often Iâ??ve referred to the sea, sailing, waves, the horizon, icebergs etc. Maybe itâ??s just in my blood. I grew up in a coastal town, Sunderland. My Grandad was a fisherman, Â¬and the sea has always been a part of my life Iâ??d always taken for grantedâ?. â??Infinity Blue is the ocean. Imagine that ocean is life. The waterline of a boat is an often-used analogy in psychology.
