Doris Allen is considered to be one of the great unknowns of southern soul. She is best known for her duets with Big John Hamilton (who is featured on six tracks) and the deep soul classic "A Shell of a Woman". This complete collection features eleven previously unissued tracks and informative liner notes by Paul Mooney. Sadly, Doris passed away while this CD was being put together. 23 tracks including Shell of a Woman, Let a Little Love In, Candy from a Baby, Treat Me Like a Woman, Full Time Fool, Baby It's Cold Outside, Clean Up Woman and more.
