Description:The Soul Cages by Sting, released 25 May 2000, includes the following tracks: "Mad About You", "Why Should I Cry For You", "The Wild Wild Sea", "When The Angels Fall" and more. This version of The Soul Cages comes as a 1xCD. -
Digitally remastered reissue of the 1991 album includes one bonus video track 'This Time'. Recorded at Studio Guilaume Tell, Paris, France and Villa Salviati, Migliarino, Italy. Sting's most personal solo album (it was written in response to the death of his father), the Soul Cages is also his most ambitious. Many of the tracks ('Island of Souls', 'Mad About You') verge (impressively) on classical art song territory. For some, however, the good news here is that Sting is playing bass again; his simple yet effective lines are heard to particular advantage on the upbeat pop gem 'All This Time'. Another high point is 'Saint Agnes and the Burning Town', a flamenco-inflected instrumental tour de force unlike anything in Sting's catalogue. 2005.
Remastered version with bonus quicktime video (P) 1991 A & M Records Inc. (C) 1998 A & M Records Inc. Includes 16 page (8 panel) booklet containing artwork, lyrics, credits list, a QSound description and a back page which has a picture of Sting and the catalogue code 540 996 2 bottom centre. This is the first Repress by Universal M&L, Germany of the original 1998 PMDC Germany pressing [r=10444948]. There is a subsequent Universal M&L reissue here - [r24267113]

Eugene S. - 04/Dec/2023 5 of 5 Stars!
The third full-length studio album released by English musician Sting. Released on 21 January 1991 it became Sting's second No. 1 album in the United Kingdom. I recommend.
