Before he went out on his own, SEASICK STEVE was backed by the LEVEL DEVILS & 'Cheap' is the album that was born recorded at Steve's own JUKE JOINT STUDIOS & packs a huge punch. Interspersed with some of Steve's inimitable true stories, each track is a treasure trove of punk blues classics. This, the first album by Seasick Steve is available thanks to by BRONZERAT who've up scaled it's availability from that of Seasick's own label THERE'S a DEAD SKUNK RECORDS.

Issued in a 4-panel clear tray digipak. Titled "Doghouse Music" on the disc. The printed durations don't match the actual durations for some of the tracks. The correct durations are entered in the tracklist on this page. The incorrect durations are printed as follows on the release: Track 4: 4:31 Track 2: 3:14 Track 13 contains a hidden track (track 13.3). Track 13.1 lasts for 2:14 before a period of silence. Tracks 1 to 6, 8 & 10 to 13 mixed at Grand Sport Track 7 recorded at Super Mono. Track 9 recorded and mixed at Super Mono.
