Re-press, new low PPD! The 1979 Leigh Rock Festival has become legendary for the outstanding bill of up and coming bands that played on the third day of the festival in 1979. The full sets of four of those bands are featured on this 2 CD set plus one track from one of the lesser known bands on the bill (Elti-Fits) who start their track with an announcement for Factory's Tony Wilson. What strikes you is the rawness of the sound quality at this festival, all these recordings have come from live recordings organised by the original Leigh Festival organisers back in 1979. UK-only two-disc set. This collection features unreleased recordings from the music festival that took place in August 1979. Disc One includes the full Joy Division set featuring 11 tracks including 'Disorder', 'Colony', 'Shadowplay', 'Dead Souls', 'She's Lost Control' and more. This first disc is rounded out with an additional six tracks from a Certain Ratio. Disc Two features eight tracks from OMD and nine from the Teardrop Explodes set list. 35 tracks in total.
